The Language Training and Testing Center is a highly prestigious language learning and testing center in Taiwan. Established in 1951, it is the only testing center in Taiwan administering foreign language courses and proficiency tests in five languages: English, Japanese, French, German, and Spanish.

The LTTC offers various language proficiency tests, some developed by the LTTC itself and others conducted on behalf of its overseas partners. Among them, the General English Proficiency Test (GEPT), the first standardized test in Taiwan corresponds to Taiwan’s English education framework. Since the test was launched in the year 2000, more than 9 million people have taken it. Providing a fair and reliable evaluation for assessing English ability, the test is well-recognized in Taiwan as well as in the international community.

The LTTC is also an affiliated organization of The Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE) and International Language Testing Association (ILTA). The LTTC endeavors to provide high-quality service by conducting a wide range of language teaching and assessment research programs with experts worldwide.
